Can't advance to the next pipeline stage
Gate checks prevent advancement until key items are complete. Here's how to handle them.
If you're trying to advance a project to the next stage and getting a warning, it means one or more gate checks haven't been satisfied. The warning will tell you specifically what's missing: brief not approved, budget not locked, crew not confirmed, etc.
You have two options: complete the missing item, or override the gate check and advance anyway. Overriding is logged in the project's activity feed so there's a record of the decision.
Gate checks exist because the items they check for are the things that most commonly cause problems in later stages. A missing location permit doesn't seem critical during pre-production, but it becomes very critical on the morning of the shoot.
